Sacred Movement is a mindful, gentle, devotional practice of yoga and moving meditation.  Our class sequence is designed to energize you without strain, allowing the expansiveness of your Spirit to stretch alongside your muscles.  

The pace of the class is slow to moderate, calming the nervous system and offers a strong foundation for a life-time yoga practice.  Our sacred movement class is a wonderful for:
healthy brand new beginners,
seasoned yoga practitioners who wish to develop a devotional practice,
seniors who desires to retain mobility (may relieve problems such as arthritis and poor circulation with over time with consistent practice), anyone who wishes to practice presence of mind.

Gentle Practice ~ Mindful Spirit

We practice a conscious return to breath, a healthy alignment of body and mind while simultaneously building strength and flexibility.

No matter where your state of mind as we begin class, this class gives the opportunity to be present, practicing in a state of gentle awareness.   This class gives emphasis not simply on the practice of movement, but an honoring of life, as it is.  You are always encouraged to move at your own pace, honoring your unique needs in each moment.

Pranayama (yogic breathwork), chanting, sound therapy and a short guided meditation accompanies each class.
